About Me
Nikki Aubichon, Indigenous Mental Health TherapistHealing starts with connection – to ourselves, to others, and to the wisdom of our ancestors.
I’m Nikki Aubichon, an Indigenous Mental Health Therapist with Northern Therapies. I firmly believe that healing is a journey that begins within ourselves. My practice is rooted in both traditional wisdom and modern therapeutic techniques, honoring the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities.
My Story
I grew up in the beautiful region of Northwestern Saskatchewan and am proud to come from Canoe Lake Cree First Nation. My personal experiences have shaped the work I do today.
As the stepdaughter of a Day School and Residential School Survivor, I witnessed first-hand the impacts of intergenerational trauma on families and communities. I carry those experiences with me, not as burdens but as a deep understanding of the healing that is needed. I know the struggles we face in today’s society, and I believe in the power of connection, tradition, and community to help us heal – together.
My Approach
I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where individuals, families, and groups can work through their challenges and find balance. Through culturally grounded methods like the medicine wheel, I help my clients address mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
